New Beta Release 20090218

After two month of works, i am releasing Beta Version 20090218 of OpenDJMix.
This gap between two versions was because winter holidays and some architecture change:

Here is a major change:

  • Speed improvements by inlining some functions and GUI improvements,
  • Added Alsa Midi Support for DJ Controller,
  • Added Numark Total Control Controller support,
  • Fixed a CDDA segfault,
  • Change volume behaviour that disable turntable when volume slider is to lowest position,
  • Fixed seg fault caused by Wave display widget when song loading,

Happy New Year !

I wish you happy new year 2009.
Sorry for later news, i had lots of professionnal work :)

I am working on the final OpenDJMix 1.0 version.
All Numark TotalControl stuff has been implemented (except for functions that OpenDJMix doesn't offer at this time like sampler/effects).

bass/medium/treble fx started to be written. I hope it will be finished at the end of the month.

LiveCD/liveDISK must be updated. Because i am too busy, live* was not updated recently. If someone can help me, please tell me. Only linux system skill is require. I hope also that someone do Ubuntu package :)

New release 20081106

Here is a new Beta release of OpenDJMix.
The main new function is the ability to create user keyboard shortcuts via xml file. I will create a new website section for uploading shortcut files.
There is also a loop editor which able user to save song favorite loop independantly of section management.
You can now drag and drop files between file explorer and turntable which may be quicker than using popup menu.
You can also use 8 channels soundcard to use an external mixer (thanks to Jon Geissinger).

Have nice dj'ing :p

What's up doctor ???

Sorry for the long silence, works are taken up so time to work on OpenDJMix was too low...

However, i will prepare a new release of OpenDJMix for the end of year. The new release features are:

  • Users can create their own keyboard layout in an XML file,
  • A new loop editor that will you save your favorites loop for each song,
  • Starting support of midi controllers.
  • Of course, some bugs removed and some performance optimisations...

After some nice holidays doing scuba diving ...
I have restart working to OpenDJMix and do some nice change to software!

Ok let's start to see what are the news:

  1. Change GUI timer behaviour for vu-meter, the new algorithm is more accurate.
  2. Remove an unexpected memory wrote that crash OpenDJMix starting, it was the most important bug that i had remove until now,
  3. Remove a memory leak when loading song,
  4. Added a snchronisation mechanism which doesn't work very well (M/S buttons),
