Hello OpenDJMix users !
Since february, no new version has been published. It was not because i haven't do any work on OpenDJMix but only because i take times to practice other hobbies while i continue to work on OpenDJMix.
The LiveCD has been fully reworked in a more automation way.
The new liveCD is is easier to update as it is based on a full Gentoo.
Fvwm has been replaced by Xfce.
OpenDJMix release is Beta 20090218
Please open bugs on bugtracker or contact me if have any problem. LiveCD has not been extensly tested because lack of hardware.
After two month of works, i am releasing Beta Version 20090218 of OpenDJMix.
This gap between two versions was because winter holidays and some architecture change:
Here is a major change:
I wish you happy new year 2009.
Sorry for later news, i had lots of professionnal work :)
I am working on the final OpenDJMix 1.0 version.
All Numark TotalControl stuff has been implemented (except for functions that OpenDJMix doesn't offer at this time like sampler/effects).
bass/medium/treble fx started to be written. I hope it will be finished at the end of the month.
LiveCD/liveDISK must be updated. Because i am too busy, live* was not updated recently. If someone can help me, please tell me. Only linux system skill is require. I hope also that someone do Ubuntu package :)
Here is a new Beta release of OpenDJMix.
The main new function is the ability to create user keyboard shortcuts via xml file. I will create a new website section for uploading shortcut files.
There is also a loop editor which able user to save song favorite loop independantly of section management.
You can now drag and drop files between file explorer and turntable which may be quicker than using popup menu.
You can also use 8 channels soundcard to use an external mixer (thanks to Jon Geissinger).
Have nice dj'ing :p
